We have recently been to Chiang Mai too and loved it pretty much. 400B is quite a lot - but as everywhere in SouthEastAsia police officers try to get the most of tourists. Where about in Chiang Mai have you been for the cooking course?

Chiang Mai is a great place to settle down for three months or so to grab an english teaching gig. Met some awesome people during my all too brief time there.

hey sarawing,

when I was in Chiang Mai I saw many ads where companies where looking for English teachers. You should check the internet or just go there. Do you have a certificate to teach English?
