Plus, cleaning up the top growth ensures growth elsewhere on the plant. Use bonsai clippers (not scissors!) to remove any dead branches.
The watering of your bonsai must never be neglected. Apply water when the soil appears dry — never allow the soil to become completely dry. If your bonsai is receiving full sun, it may be necessary to water once a day. This schedule may vary with the size pot, type of soil and type of bonsai tree you own.

21 Jun 2017 Repotting Your Bonsai. Carefully remove the tree from its pot. Using sharp shears, trim away the outer layer of roots. Inspect the root mass for areas of rot trim away as needed. Clean the pot itself and remove any brown or green spots. Place mesh squares over the drainage holes to prevent soil from falling out. -
