Hey!

Our names are Ashley and Chris. We are both from Canada and are planning a Europe backpacking trip leaving in June. We saw your posting on STAYDU and were extremely interested in the opportunity. Chris has a British passport and would be looking to find a job in the city/town to make us some extra spending cash, however I (Ashley) only have a Canadian passport and would be interested in helping/volunteering to earn a place to stay. What we were wondering was if it would be at all possible for me (Ashley) to help/volunteer, and for Chris to stay in the hostel at a discounted rate. We figured that you wouldn’t just let him stay at a discounted rate without earning it so we were thinking that either I could work a few extra hours or Chris has also offered to work a few hours a week in the Hostel in order for this to be a possible option for him. We are looking to come mid to end October, after Oktoberfest.

I (Ashley) can help out with pretty much any housework/chores/duties, administrating and teaching languages (as I am fluent in English, French and conversational Spanish) within the Hostel. Chris is more of the person to do more hands-on work such as repairs, renovations and cooking (as he is a certified chef), however he has also worked in a hostel previously in Bulgaria. A little bit about us, we are both happy and outgoing people ready to experience the world and enjoy life. We will be partaking in Chris’s second and my (Ashley’s) first trip to Europe. Chris’s passion is cooking and wants to travel around the world to learn about different cultures and their foods. I took one year of university for international languages and have recently completed a 2-year program on learning to counsel and advocate for abused women and children. We are both great people-persons’ as well. We have created a backpacking website (www.almostfearlessbackpackers.com) that will be dedicated to blogging about our trip and our stays at various hostels and /STAYDU hosts, we would be willing to blog about our stay as well, if you were interested.
