We are Francesco and Angelica with our children (9, 6 years and 5 months old) in a peaceful place surrounded by oak forest. The place is in the Abruzzo region where about one third of the land is a protected area. We still have wolves and bears! I’m also not far from the sea, about 20 km. That’s to say that if you’re looking for a beautiful place, you found it!!
Mostly we need help in the garden and orchard (seeding, planting, digging, collecting seeds, fruits, wild vegetables etc.), to cut wood for the winter and for cooking, to build with earth and straw and other materials according to the project, (almost every work without machines). Now we also need help with housework because we are quite busy with the little Pauahtun, born on February 2015.
If you come next months you can help us to finish an earthen house. special workshop about it between the 19th and 23rd of November).
At home we usually make things you could be interested to learn as: bread baking, solar cooking, wild edible plants collecting, wood working etc.
We like to have children and not so much dogs; we prefer no-smokers.
We cook with a wood stove or with two different models of solar cookers, when the sun shines (also in winter it is possible), otherwise with wood.
We have had people who worked less for some reasons and people who didn’t want to stop working. Just be responsible of what you are doing and where you are, please.

According to the situation in the house you’ll have your own room or a couch or a tent if you prefer to sleep outside in summer. Please bring your sleeping bag.
Expectations: The person I would like to host is someone:- who likes natural way of life and deep contact with Mother Nature and the Earth.- who tries to respect and use carefully food, water, electricity by not wasting them;- who respects food and don't waste it because it's a gift of Mother Nature;- who likes to be in the countryside (this means that the volonteer won't run away if you see an insect or other small animals that I usually meet daily or that she/he likes a bit adventure or making her/his clothes dirty);- who is responsible about the work she/he's doing and determined to finish it;- who is tidy and put tools and other things back to his place. Work may vary from time to time.
